South Australian scenery for use with Prepar3d Flight Simulator version 1 to 5, has been produced to simulate the real earth as viewed from the cockpit whilst cruising at medium to higher altitudes. It has been developed using 15m imagery from Earthstar Geographic’s “Terracolor” imagery and is an economical method of covering large areas of the “real” earth.

The full imagery will be seen at LOD (Level Of Detail) 11 further out from the aircraft, with ORBX AU2 higher resolution Land Class scenery below and surrounding the aircraft. A Blend of the two types of scenery will be seen between these two. ORBX AU2 detailed “Dry Lakes” are seen throughout all LODs. Thus, during departure and arrivals the higher resolution areas with vegetation and buildings will be visible and whilst the aircraft is climbing or descending the blend will gradually break out.

The scenery requires Orbx AU Australia v2 to be installed.
