ENHF Hammerfest Airport

Located at 71° North, the town of Hammerfest is regarded as the northernmost town in the world with more than 10,000 residents. During the summer months, there is continuous daylight, which is the natural phenomenon known as the midnight sun, while during winter, the sun does not rise above the horizon.

This airport has a challenging approach onto a short, sloped runway sitting on a plateau above the city. Dash8-100s operated by Widerøe are the most common aircraft to visit Hammerfest, coming in from destinations such as Tromso, Honningsvag, and Hasvik.
