DCS Mission - Bodo Fjords Run - Summer - FA-18C

This is a freeware mission for DCS: Kola map and the F/A-18C Hornet, along with the Nimitz-class Supercarrier module.

Requirements:

Orbx DCS: Kola map, for DCS: World, of either the e-shop or Steam version.

Installation:

After unzipping the .zip file, move the “KOLA - Bodo Fjords Run - Summer - FA-18C.miz” file into C:\Users[username]\Saved Games\DCS\Missions, and (re-)start DCS: World. The mission should then be visible in the Missions submenu.

Mission Briefing (also see included annotated map):

Situation:

• Flight practice, no weapons.
• Carrier launch southwest of Bodo, followed by a timed “fjords run" toward the city.

Blue Task:

1. Wait for the AWACS to take off.
2. When the marshaller waves his hands left to right, push the throttle forward and select salute in the radio menu (or LCtrl+LShift+S).
3. After launch, maintain a 5-degree climb and the route will be marked with floating green gates.
4. Timing starts and stops at the gates with green smoke.
5. Land at Bodo, if desired.
