ZHCC Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport

for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport (IATA: CGO, ICAO: ZHCC), abbreviated as "Xinzheng Airport," is located in Xinzheng City and Zhongmu County of Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, China, under the jurisdiction of the Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone. Situated 25 kilometers from the urban area, it is a 4F-class international civil airport. The airport is a core component of the Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone and serves as an international air cargo hub airport, one of the eight regional hub airports in China, and an international airport with “7×24 hours” and “all-time” customs clearance. It is also a major domestic aviation hub, an international scheduled flight airport, and a Class I national aviation port open to the outside world.

Construction of the airport was completed on August 28, 1997, when it officially opened to navigation, relocating operations from the civil part of Zhengzhou Yanzhuang Airport. In May 2002, its aviation port passed the national acceptance inspection and was later renamed Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport.

The airport has undergone significant expansion over the years. On December 29, 2007, the T1 terminal building was officially put into use. This was followed by the opening of the T2 terminal on December 22, 2015, and the second runway on January 7, 2016. Shortly after, the T1 terminal was decommissioned on March 30, 2016. More recently, on September 7, 2022, the North Cargo Area was officially put into use.

As of November 2024, the T2 terminal building covers an area of 486,000 square meters. The civil aviation apron includes 149 passenger aircraft parking positions and 25 cargo aircraft parking positions. The first runway measures 3,400 meters in length and 45 meters in width, while the second runway is 3,600 meters long and 60 meters wide. Together, the facilities can handle up to 40 million passengers and 1.1 million tons of cargo and mail annually.

By October 28, 2023, Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport was home to 34 passenger airlines, operating 182 passenger routes and serving 116 destinations. In 2022, the airport handled a total of 625,000 tons of cargo and mail, representing a decrease of 11.4% compared with the previous year. Passenger throughput reached 9.222 million, a year-on-year decrease of 51.3%.
